COVID-19: Nigeria record 1244 new cases as 18 states record cases


1244 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday 11 January, 2021.
NCDC made this on their social media page during their Daily COVID-19 report in the country.
A breakdown of the cases by States were posted by the NCDC showed that Lagos had 774 new cases and the FCT which had the second highest cases was very far behind with 125 new cases.

Plateau State moved up from 63 cases on Sunday to 125 new cases, while Anambra reported 47 cases and Ondo, 46 cases.
With recent new cases, total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria stand at 101,331, while 80,491 survivors have been discharged so far.
With the three deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, total COVID-19 deaths since the pandemic broke out in February 2020 is put at 1,361.
